Once you are familiar with Navigating the Punch List, you will be able to further filter the punch list page.
Since the Punch List shows all the recorded deficiencies, you can search for a specific one in the search bar or by filtering through the dropdown menu. This will give you a list of options to filter your search by. Once you select a category to filter by, the dropdown to the right of this will allow you to further specify your search.
When you select the category you would like to filter by, the items applying to that search will show up as a new list. If you would like to clear your search or filter by a different category, you can select the "Clear" button.
In the example below, the Status filter is selected and Accepted is the only item checked off, so deficiencies with the Accepted status show in the list. Multiple items can be checked off in the filter options as well.
Clicking on any of the top column categories will automatically sort the punch list in order of the selected column. For example, selecting the "Type" column will sort the list alphabetically by the inspection type.
If you drag your mouse over any of the top column titles, a 3-lined menu icon will appear. Clicking on this will allow you to edit the way your punch list is displayed.
The first option allows you to pin the selected column, by pinning it on the left or right side, or removing a pin afterwards. Here you can also autosize the selected column or all column, and reset all columns back to the original formatting.
Clicking the next icon allows you to edit the items for that specific column. The blue boxes with check marks indicate items that will be displayed. Ensure to click "Apply" if you had made a change to this list. You can also reset the list by selecting the "Reset" button.
The third icon is a quick way to edit the titles of the columns displayed at the top of your punch list. The blue boxes with check marks indicate the columns that will appear. If you would like to remove a column, you can simply unselect the checkbox.
As each row on the Punch List displays a deficiency, you will be able to make changes to the items in each column by double clicking on the item, then selecting its dropdown menu. This function is useful if you need to change the inspection type, deficiency number, unit number, room type, location of deficiency, description of deficiency, trade, service representative, or any other column filtered in your punch list.
If you need to make an update to multiple deficiencies instead of an individual one, you can select hit Shift on your keyboard and select your desired items. Then click the Actions dropdown menu and select "Bulk Update Deficiencies."
You will then be able to select the update type from the dropdown options, as well as the new value that will apply to all selected units. Once you have selected the changes, click Update Deficiencies. You will then see the item updated in your punch list.
