TIA's spreadsheet reporting feature is DIY-based so that our clients can easily obtain customized information in a few quick steps. On top of our high-level Analytics statistics, all selection and payment data can be exported and manipulated as desired.
To begin this process, open the Menu dropdown and select "Reporting." You will then have the option to select from the Master Report, Construction Master Report, Unit Selections, Construction Unit Selections, and Payments, based on preference and the data you are looking to export.
Master Report
The Master Report tab will automatically open when you select Reports so that you can begin to create reports for the project. First, ensure that only "Live Units" are checked off, unless you would like to have "Test Units" shown in your report as well.
You can then select the status types you would like displayed in the report by simply checking them off. In the example below, the report will only show units in In-Progress, In-Review, or Complete status units.
The next step will be to filter the fields you would like displayed in the column categories at the top of the report. This can be done by clicking the checkboxes in the Columns sidebar to the right side of the screen. You will notice that some recommended items are already selected, but here you can simply reselect to view your report-specific items.
Clicking directly on a column title will sort the column in alphabetical or numerical order. In the example below, the Start Date column was selected, so the dates will organize in order from least to most recent. You can click the column title again to organize in the opposite order.
You can also create a report from scratch, by double clicking the top check-box, which will unselect all the column items and allow you to individually select the options on your own.
If you'll need to run this report regularly, click the "Select" dropdown button under Saved Reports. The "Save current configuration" option will save your column and status filters so that you don't have to set them again next time.
When this is selected, you will be required to enter a Report Name and click Save.
Once you have manipulated the columns to achieve your desired report, you can click "Export to Excel" to transfer this to an excel spreadsheet.
As the report gets downloaded to your device, click on the report created to view this in Excel.
When Excel is opened, you will be able to view all the data filtered from the TIA system. If you need to make changes to the report, you can either repeat the steps above, or manipulate the data directly through Excel.
Construction Master Report
The reporting steps for the Master Report steps can be repeated in the Construction Master Report tab, in order to create spreadsheets or reports for the construction team. This is especially useful for creating trade-specific spreadsheets while hiding purchaser information and pricing/costs details.
These reports can also be sent directly to a construction team member or trade by filtering your desired fields, then clicking "Create Report."
You can then enter the file name, an email to send the report to, and the specific supplier if needed. Ensure to click Save and Send.
Unit Selections
The Unit Selections tab is a different format of the Master Report with the same data. This section shows one item per row, instead of one unit per row, and is available to use based on your preference.
You will notice this tab focuses more on data for each individual materials, which you can also filter the column fields for in the column sidebar. This data can also be exported to Excel in the same way as the other report tabs.
Construction Unit Selections
Similar to the Unit Selections tab, the construction unit selections allows you to view and export data that is individual item specific, rather than unit-specific.
You will notice the column fields differ here and are based on all individual item, construction-related information, such as supplier, construction item, installation location, etc. You can then export this information to an excel spreadsheet or create a report directly from the TIA system.
Payments
Once payments have been submitted and recorded through the Online Design Studio, you will be able to review and export them.
Clicking the "Payments" tab will bring you to the page displaying all of the recorded payments from the project. Here you can view all payments processed, along with the details, such as date paid, payment option selected, payment method, amount, and all other information within the columns.
To filter the fields shown in the report, you can click the "Columns" icon and check off which items you would like displayed in the top columns. You can then click the "Export to Excel" button to export and save the report.
If you are looking to search for a specific field, you can type this into the top search bar. Any item within the report can be searched for.
For example, if you are interested in a certain payment method, such as Visa, you can type this in the search bar, and all of the units that paid with visa will appear. This can be done for various fields, such as unit number, date, total amount, payment type, payment method, etc.
The "Export to Excel" button will also allow you to export the results of your search, rather than the entire report.
